Labradorite & Smoky Quartz Earrings

Labradorite is a rare mineral of unique beautiful color. The unprocessed gem appears dark-blue, but after polishing becomes golden and a light-blue shades appears. It was discovered on the Labrador Peninsula in North America, which explains the origin of the name.

Smoky Quartz is a National Gem of Scotland and it has been considered a sacred stone there for since the times of Druids.

Smoky quartz is a variety of quartz and it’s more proper to call it “smoky crystal.” Its first historical mention was found in Scottish sources and its name may be translated as “smoke.”

The color of the stone varies from smoky-gray to brown, and may seldom be almost black. Since the ancient times it was thought to be a meditation stone, a sacred “gem of Buddha” with extraordinarily powerful energy.
